Ensure the unit has power. If you have a battery-powered model, ensure the battery is secured correctly. If you have an electric model, ensure your extension lead no longer then 25m.
If petrol-powered, ensure the unit has fresh fuel.

If your RYOBI battery-powered Hedge Trimmer has low runtime, ensure you’re using an appropriately sized battery. Also check that your blades are sharp, as dull blades will affect the unit’s performance and run time.

If your Hedge Trimmer blades are sticking, clean the blades with a dry brush or cloth. You should also ensure blades are lubricated before and after every use, as this helps to clean off sticky material, like sap.

If your RYOBI Hedge Trimmer cuts out, the material being cut may be too thick. Check your Hedge Trimmer’s maximum cut capacity.
